So here I stand, as I also perhaps still do in that forgotten forest, twice alive, or once dead. There is something a little different about this second me, though. I remember being a lot grumpier. Probably because it was raining ALL the time in that wicked wood.

Abanayabar is a talking tree, originally from Teneb Tiriel in 1218 AD, with a cutting taking root under the watermill in Broken Valley village in 1300 AD.

Background[]

The famous talking tree of the Dark Forest, found to the east of Fiu Nimble in 1218 AD he has been convinced by a dwarf that all wood cutters imbue magic powers that can cut him down, resulting in fear of mortals and aggression towards any who attempt to approach him; slinging fireballs and raising the undead to protect himself.

Prior to 1230 a branch cutting was taken by Buadrim Venomclaw and planted in the basement of Broken Valley Village's watermill. By 1300 AD, this cutting is working on alchemy with Buadrim, who is going by the name of Upton; however, he cannot say if the original tree still stands following the great war.
