Ransid
Jewellery in Law [sic] is a quest received from Ransid on Lanilor Lane in Aleroth during the events of Divinity II: Flames of Vengeance. He says that he is poor and hungry, and would like you to retrieve Mara's Earrings from his mother-in-law so that he can buy bread.
Note: Due to mutually exclusive choices you can either complete this quest, or Sinister Motives for Astridax, but not both.
Walkthrough
Head east to the Playhouse and enter through the front door. Go down the hall, and turn right to the main (stage) area. You'll witness a cutscene and see the ghost of Alfred leave the area. Get the key on the table in the northeast corner of the room, and open the backstage door in the southwest. Follow the hall, passing an inaccessible room (due a magical barrier), and speak with Alfred to obtain the quest All the After World's a Stage.

Ghost of Mara
After completing that quest the magical barrier is lifted. This allows you to enter the room and speak to the ghost of Ransid's mother-in-law, Mara (she is not the same Mara you may have met at the Black Boar Inn in Broken Valley). Speak to her about Ransid, and she'll hesitantly give you the earrings, hoping that he uses the gold from their sale to drink too much and die choking on his own vomit.
Return to Ransid to give him the jewelry. He's happy now that he "can go to Madame Eve's! And ... buy bread, of course!"

- One choice of: 2815 exp, 900 gold, 1 creature part, 1 formula, 1 gem, 25 herbs, or 5 ore
Bugs
- After obtaining Mara's Earrings you can sell them to a nearby merchant such as Kaan (for 992 gold if he likes you) before speaking to Ransid to complete the quest. You'll get the gold for the sale plus the quest reward.
