ToDo[]

I added most status effect descriptions and info from SkillData.txt and Potion.txt from the game files.

ToDo:

  1. Split status effects in "beneficial" and "harmful" like on the vanilla page. That page also differentiates between status effects and buffs/debuffs, but I'm not sure what the difference is, so I guess
  2. Add saving throws info. I have no idea where that is defined.
  3. Add icons. Do you have them, Realmain? Because I don't. ;) I haven't done anything with those yet on wikia and wouldn't know how to get started. (I'm a complete wikia newbie)
  4. Add status effect templates for DOS:EE.

Mark of death[]

"Mark of Death" can't be cured with Purifying Fire (as it was previously stated, I already corrected it), at least it did'nt work when I tried. Neither could Cleansing Water nor First aid nor Wind of Change.

But Mark of Death also did'nt seem to do anything to my character. The stats were the same, and after 3 or so rounds it vanished. (Char was still alive)

Does anybody know what it's doing?

I'll try and confirm this later on today, but from my understanding mark of death is a targeting effect. AI characters will pay more attention to a marked character and as a whole marked characters are easier to target (reduced evasion). I could be wrong, so I'll check the Divinity engine once I get off work. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 06:48, May 13, 2020 (UTC)
I forgot how much of a pain the Divinity Engine is compared to Divinity Engine 2. I'm going to have to do some more research on this to get any answer. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 07:01, May 14, 2020 (UTC)

Ok, thanks so far - please don't put too much time or effort in it! (I only saw it being cast once in the game, so the question is really not a game-breaker.) Thanks for all your work!

Aaand...there is actually a tooltip for the status effects near the portraits...strange that I didn't notice it before.   The tooltip for "Marked for death" says: "Enemies will prefer attacking you!" , so your initial thought was right.  (the title of the status effect sounded way more dramatic)

Shackles of Pain[]

Shackles of Pain can't be cured with Purifying Fire (as it was previously stated) - already corrected it.  Neither could Cleansing Water, Wind of Change or Tornado.
